Well it has been some time since my last post. What with the move, hunting for a new job and all the ensuing madness that goes along with it all..
But there is some light at the end of the tunnel now. I have been hired by Springfield’s own Devil. I can’t give out the name but it is one of the largest financial institutions in the country, and about second largest on the planet… Yeah I know. Working for the man.. Well it is not the first time and as I can see now it is not the last.. but it is a paycheck . That is what is important now. The position they offered me is not bad. But not the best. I am now a FINANCIAL SERVICE ADVISER … Get to deal with the company clients when they have problems they can’t handle or figure out. yeah it is inbound calls but at least it is not outbound. God I hate Cold calling people. I hate it when they call me.. But on the bright side the recruiter told me that with the 30+ years of experience I have in computers and the Internet I am a first class candidate for their Internet division… Woot… Of course it is still part of the inbound call center division. But occasionally there comes an opening in the Op’s division. And that my friends is where I am working to get to. Back to working on computers and networks and the like and not having to deal with John Q. Public. So … I begin my dance with the Devil on Feb 27th.
Red is pretty happy with the whole thing. And that is cool with me. As long as she can stay in school and get her degree I am cool with it as well.. I mean what the hell.. She has wanted to get back to school now for the last 10 years.. She is working on becoming a Psychologist. Hell she will do a great job. She loves to work with people. And especially those of us in alternative lifestyles.. That is where she wants to focus her attention and talent. Not many of them in this area. Matter of fact I truthfully don’t know of any here that do work with alternative life-stylers. But in a few years Red will be able to hang her shingle and go to town.
Well I guess that sums up my day so far.. Perhaps more later.. Go to go get the pretty student in about an hour.. LOL
